Dr. Jamila Woods

Rev. Dr. Delegate Jamila J. Woods brings public policy, ministry, and community advocacy together to strengthen communities, expand opportunities, and improve outcomes for all. Representing Maryland's District 26, she serves on the House Judiciary Committee and chairs its Juvenile Law Subcommittee. She has an MSW in Social Work and extensive Child Protective Services experience, as well as expertise in domestic violence, anger management, and mental health first aid. She is a former Pastor and community organizer, she bridges government, faith, and community relationships to advance justice, promote healing, strengthen families, and create pathways toward empowerment and lasting transformation.
